Both males were described to be Hispanic, stand approximately 5’6” and weigh 140 pounds. One male was wearing a white hoodie and the other a grey hoodie.
Officer Hicks was shot in the line of duty while responding to a domestic disturbance call.
The school was initially placed on locked down while officers conducted their investigation, and the lockdown has since been lifted.
The male suspect produced a gun, shooting and striking one of the officers.
In the past two weeks there has been over 15 police reports filed for criminal mischief from various south side businesses involving the minivan pictured.
CCPD has confirmed with Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office and PINS Park Rangers that the deceased male subject is not Caleb Harris.

Corpus Christi Independent School District’s Police Department has arrested a 12-year-old juvenile female for terroristic threats.
On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at 9:41am, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 19th Street in reference to a robbery in progress.
The investigation also led to probable cause to believe that the actions leading to the death of the 54-year-old male was not an accident.
