Menda Eulenfeld

Menda Eulenfeld - Before creating South Texas Community News (STCN), Menda gained extensive experience in communications and broadcasting. She worked at Texas A&M University–Kingsville as a radio clerk and administrative assistant, served as a production assistant, promotions team member, and traffic coordinator for an ABC affiliate in Corpus Christi, and worked as a videographer for The Kingsville Record and Bishop News. Today, she manages STCN while working full-time at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi.

Menda’s community involvement is a major part of who she is. She serves with organizations such as the End Domestic Violence Task Force, The SHARE Thanksgiving Committee, Coastal Bend Civitan, and Brush Country Pregnancy Services. She also served as Chair and videographer for the Kleberg County and Bishop American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

When she’s not reporting or volunteering, Menda enjoys spending time at her church and caring for the many stray cats she’s adopted over the years.

Driven by service and storytelling, Menda continues to make STCN a trusted source of truly local news for the Coastal Bend.

Gary Eulenfeld

Gary Eulenfeld - co-founder and part-time editor of South Texas Community News, where he focuses on ensuring every story is clear, accurate, and easy for readers to understand. With a keen eye for readability and detail, he reviews content before it’s published, helping maintain the quality and credibility of the site’s reporting.

Outside of his editorial work, Gary enjoys playing guitar and volunteering at his church. He also serves as a board member for two community organizations, continuing his commitment to service in the Coastal Bend area.

While his family regularly adopts stray cats, Gary will be the first to say he does not share their enthusiasm—but he loves his family enough to tolerate the growing feline population in his home.
