Fatality Accident at Saratoga

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 6:01pm, officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of Saratoga Blvd. in reference to a major traffic crash involving a motorcycle.

Officers arrived and located a two-vehicle crash involving a grey SUV and a motorcycle. Medics transported the 24-year-old male driver of the motorcycle to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Two adults and a child in the SUV were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators with the Traffic Unit arrived on scene. They determined that the driver of the SUV was traveling east on Saratoga, made a left turn and turned in front of the motorcycle, which was traveling westbound on Saratoga. The motorcycle struck the SUV, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected.

Officers determined that the driver of the SUV did not show signs of intoxication.
