AUSTIN, TEXAS - (News Release) On April 26, 2025, members of the Corpus Christi Police Department’s Honor Guard embarked on a solemn journey to Austin to participate in the 2025 Texas Police Officers’ Memorial. It was a profound honor to be a part of a ceremony that honored the Texas officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
This year, Officer Kyle Hicks and Senior Officer Vicente Ortiz were inducted into the Wall of Honor. Senior Officer Denise Pace and Senior Officer Jose Flores escorted the Hicks and Ortiz families as they met and accepted the awards presented by Governor Greg Abbott.
