Deputies Arrest Two Individuals

NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS - (News Release) Two individuals were arrested on 4/25/2025 in two separate incidents by deputies with Pct. 5.

Jason Bowers 45, was stopped for expired registration at FM 624 and Cr. 83. During the traffic stop, it was noticed that a motorcycle visible in the bed of the truck which Bowers was driving was displaying a possible fictitious license plate. The Plates did not match the color of the bike or the identification number. Further inspection found the motorcycle was reported as stolen thru tamucc PD back on 4/14/25. Bowers was arrested on Theft Charges for the stolen motorcycle and Driving With Suspended or Invalid Driver License.

In a second incident, thirty year old male identified as Marco Antonio Contreras was stopped on FM 624 and CR 81 for excessive speed. During the traffic stop, it was determined that Contreras was possibly under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. After a field interview and several sobriety tests, Contreras was placed under arrest for D.W.I and transported to the Nueces County Jail.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
