Wanted Felony Suspect Located and Arrested in Sandia

ALICE, TEXAS (News Release) - On Wednesday evening, the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office received a request for assistance from the Nueces County Precinct Five Constable's Office in locating 39-year-old Michael Vasquez.

Through the coordinated efforts of the Nueces County Precinct Five Constable's Office, the Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, and Patrol Division, Vasquez was located at a residence on County Road 364 in Sandia, Texas, and taken into custody without incident.

Vasquez was wanted on two outstanding felony warrants out of Nueces County for Sexual Assault of a Child and Indecency with a Child – Exposes. He is currently being held at the Nueces County Jail on bonds totaling $450,000.

The Jim Wells County Sheriff's Office appreciates the teamwork and cooperation between our agencies that led to the successful apprehension of this wanted individual.
