Kleberg County Attorney’s Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force

KENEDY COUNTY, TEXAS - (News Release) On August 5, 2024, Special Agents with the Kleberg County Attorney’s Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force conducted a traffic stop south of Sarita, Texas.

While speaking to the vehicle's female driver, agents believed she was involved in criminal activity. They received enough reasonable suspicion to ask for consent, which they were granted.

While searching the vehicle, agents located sixty-seven (67) high-level magazines and ten thousand rounds of .223 ammunition used for highly calibrated weapons. During the investigation, it was determined that the contraband was destined for Mexico.

This is an ongoing investigation.
