Task Force Thanks Public Safety Dispatchers

KINGSVILLE (News Release) - Durning National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, Kleberg County dispatchers and Kingsville Police Department, received gift basket brought to them by The End Domestic Violence Task Force, which supports local law enforcement and The Purple Door.

Kathy Kimball, president of the End Domestic Violence Task Force said, “Dispatchers are so important as they are the ones who answer the call in a domestic violence crisis. They are trained to take those calls and help victims of domestic violence in those crucial first moments while officers are dispatched. The End Domestic Violence Task Force was created to educate our community about all aspect of domestic abuse and support our agencies like the Purple Door and law enforcement.”

“As dispatchers, we work tirelessly every day to ensure the safety and well-being of Kleberg County, and it means a lot to know that they have the support and appreciation of local organizations like End Domestic Violence Task Force”, Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office.
