Two Santa Gertrudis ISD Educators Receive Grants Through NEC Supply-A-Teacher Program

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS (News Release) - Two educators from Santa Gertrudis ISD were recognized Wednesday, August 5, after receiving funding through the Nueces Electric Cooperative (NEC) Supply-A-Teacher Program.

Kristi Kelley, Academy High School counselor, and Kathy Bueno, a fifth-grade math and science teacher, were selected to receive grant funding to support educational projects that will benefit their students and classrooms.

Through the Supply-A-Teacher Program, educators can receive grants of up to $2,000 to support their students and classroom needs. The program is designed to help teachers bring innovative ideas and valuable learning opportunities to their classrooms by providing financial assistance for educational projects and resources.

Santa Gertrudis ISD congratulated both educators on the recognition and thanked Nueces Electric Cooperative for its continued investment in local education and support of teachers who make a difference in the lives of students.
