Pursuit Chase Ends in Kleberg County

 

Kleberg County Attorney’s Specialized Crimes and Narcotics Task Force

KLEBERG COUNTY, TEXAS - (News Release) On October 1st., Special Agents with the Task Force assisted with a pursuit of a confirmed gang member. The pursuit was initiated in Kenedy County and entered Kleberg County on US Highway 77. U.S. Border Patrol, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kingsville Police Department assisted in the chase.

The driver drove through multiple county roads within Kleberg County, going through properties and damaging fences. The pursuit came to an end on county road 2150, where the driver, identified as Edmundo Cantu, a confirmed gang member (Paiza), and two undocumented illegal immigrants were taken into custody.
