Navy Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Navy Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Naval Air Station Kingsville

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS - (News Release) Capt. Michael Bishop on Tuesday signed a proclamation declaring October 2024 Navy Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Naval Air Station Kingsville.

The Navy-wide theme this year is “What’s Inside Matters and “Pause.”

“What’s Inside Matters” will speak to those impacted by the harmful behaviors or those noticing a partner’s risk factors for harmful behaviors.

“Pause” will speak to those who are identifying risk factors or their own harmful behaviors towards their partners and want help.

Anyone seeking help can contact counselors at the Fleet and Family Support Center or calling the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 800-799-7233. The hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
