HM King Junior Achieves Rare Milestone With 10 ASE Exam Passes

KINGSVILLE, TEXAS (News Release) - Isabel Acevedo, a junior at HM King Early College High School, has reached a historic milestone by passing all 10 examinations administered by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

Acevedo successfully completed the certification exams in the following areas:

  • Automatic Transmission and Transaxle

  • Automobile Service Technology

  • Brakes

  • Electrical/Electronic Systems

  • Engine Performance

  • Engine Repair

  • Heating and Air Conditioning

  • Maintenance and Light Repair

  • Manual Drive Train and Axles

  • Suspension and Steering

School officials say this is the first time a student at HM King Early College High School has passed all 10 ASE examinations.

Acevedo is enrolled in the automotive program taught by instructor Secundino Garza.

School leaders congratulated Acevedo on the accomplishment, calling it a remarkable achievement and a source of pride for the campus.
