Driver Runs into Back of Truck that was Stopped for a School Bus

BISHOP (News Release) - On Monday, October 10, 2022, at approximately 6:45AM, Bishop Police Department Patrol Officers, Nueces County PCT-3 Constable Deputies, Texas DPS Troopers and ESD-3 Fire / ESD-6 EMS, were dispatched to the 600 block of U.S. Highway 77 Business for a two-vehicle accident.

Witnesses on scene advised that a truck was stopped for school bus displaying red flashing lights and stop sign on the opposite side of the roadway, when another vehicle struck the truck.

Occupants of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals for further medical evaluation and treatment.

All injuries reported appear to be non-life threatening at this time.

Texas DPS Troopers are investigating this crash.
