BPD hosts flag raising and pole dedication ceremony for veterans, first responders


The Bishop Police Department held a special ceremony on Saturday afternoon to dedicate the newest editions of flags at the station to Veterans and First Responders in the area. Bishop Police Chief Edward Day said when he arrived at the BPD, he felt it was odd there were no flags posted at the station, and made it a priority to have the flags fly high as soon as he could.

Among the participants in the event were Boy Scout Troop #53 from Bishop - who raised the flags - Bishop City Council Members, and officials from Nueces County.
