BISHOP, TEXAS - (News Release) The Bishop Police Department and Bishop Consolidated Independent School District (BCISD) wish to address the recent social media posts that have been circulating within the community. BPD wants to assure the parents, students, and community members that there is currently no credible threat to the local schools.

The posts in question originated from an area outside the jurisdiction and have caused concern among residents. In response to this situation, BPD would like to emphasize that the safety and well-being of the students and staff are the top priorities. As a precautionary measure, you will notice an increased law enforcement presence around the campuses. Additionally, school resource officers will be stationed at every campus to provide support and ensure a safe educational environment.

The Bishop Police Department and Bishop CISD work closely together to maintain a secure atmosphere for our students and staff. They take all threats seriously and are committed to transparency and communication with the community.
