Bishop Advances to State Competition for 24th Time

Bishop, TEXAS (News Release) - The Bishop program is once again headed to state, marking its 24th appearance at the prestigious competition and continuing a long-standing tradition of excellence.

“This achievement is an incredible honor and a testament to the legacy built by those who came before us,” the program stated. “We are proud to carry that legacy forward.”

The team expressed gratitude to its administration, families, and the broader community for their continued support. “It truly takes a village to be successful, and we are fortunate to have one of the best behind us.”, Elle Escobedo, Bishop High School Theatre Arts Director.

Individual Honors:

  • Honorable Mention: Ysabella Garza

  • All-Star Crew: Lily Bland

  • All-Star Cast: Isaiah Ochoa, Leila Hoefelmeyer

  • Outstanding Technician: Alice Arroyo

  • Best Performer: Carina Esquivel

The community is invited to attend the State Send-Off Show on Thursday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. Additional details will be announced soon.
