Animal Cruelty on Fort Worth Street

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 3:24 pm, Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department were dispatched to the 3900 block of Fort Worth St. in reference to a Suspicious Person call. 

Upon arrival, Officers were informed that a male subject had produced a knife and used the weapon to injure an animal. The animal ultimately succumbed to the injuries. The male then left the area on foot towards Hamlin Dr. and Staples St.  Officers located the animal and gave the animal to Animal Care Services. 

The male is described as a Hispanic male with brown hair, unknown age, full sleeve tattoos on both arms as well as tattoos on his neck. He was wearing black pants and a blue shirt.

The Corpus Christi Police Department takes all incidents of animal cruelty seriously. Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division are actively working and investigating this incident. Officers on patrol are actively looking for the suspect.
