BISHOP (News Release) - Yesterday evening, Bishop Police Department patrol officers and Nueces County Precinct 3 Constable Deputies, responded to reports of a fight at the Bishop City Park, located in the 100 block of East Joyce Street, Bishop, Texas.

Upon arrival on scene officers made contact with several subjects at that location, who advised a physical altercation had occurred at the park involving two adult males and that one of the subjects involved pulled out a firearm. Bystanders advised responding officers that the suspect made threats of violence and pointed the gun at multiple people within the park, before eventually getting into a vehicle and fleeing the scene.

Witnesses provided responding officers with a detailed description of the suspect involved, as well as information on the suspect’s vehicle.

Utilizing the information provided by victims and witnesses on scene, Officers were able to positively identify the suspect and locate his last known address in Bishop, Texas.

In an attempt to locate the suspect involved, Bishop Police Department Officers, along with officers from Nueces County District Attorney's Office CIU, Nueces County Precinct Five Constable and Nueces County Constable Precinct 3, went to the suspect’s last known address, a residence in the 300 block of W. 4th Street.

The suspect was located at that address and taken into custody on scene without incident. An additional adult male and an adult female were also briefly detained and later released without any pending criminal charges.

The firearm used during the offense was located at the residence as well and was processed and collected as evidence.

The suspect identified as 21-year-old Xavier Molina was placed under arrest and transported to the Nueces County Jail. He is currently being charged with several felony counts of Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon) and one count of Endangering a Child.
