Over 60 Shopping Carts Found in Neighborhood

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) - On August 31, Directed Patrol Officers and Bike Officers participated in a three-hour cleanup up of the Flour Bluff and Matlock area. At one residence, located on the 900 block of Weaver, a total of 31 shopping carts were recovered. An additional 30 shopping carts were recovered from the surrounding neighborhood streets.

All shopping carts, which were all private property, were returned to their respective owners.

While working in this area, contact was made with a male and female pushing a shopping cart. The female was charged with theft and the male was arrested on an outstanding Warrant out of Nueces County.
