18-Wheeler Crash Blocks U.S. 77 South of Driscoll

DRISCOLL, TEXAS - According to Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Rob Mallory, Southbound U.S. 77 just south of Driscoll was blocked following a crash involving an 18-wheeler that jackknifed across the highway. The accident occurred on Friday, September 4, 2026 at around 7:20 am

DPS officials said the 18-wheeler failed to maintain its lane and struck an unoccupied vehicle parked on the shoulder.

All southbound traffic was diverted off U.S. 77 at FM 665 while crews work to clear the crash scene.

Motorists were urged to avoid the area and expect significant delays.
