CORPUS CHRISTI – As of this morning, Water Utilities operations has numerous teams in the field that continue to attempt to locate the water main break causing the City’s water disruption. Additional field crews are covering remote areas in Southeast and Northwest Corpus Christi. In addition, the City is partnering with the Coast Guard to have a helicopter and jet fly at lower levels across water main zones later this morning (weather pending). This air inspection will provide additional coverage to locate the broken water main. Remote areas that have been impassable by vehicle or foot will be assessed with air service.
Also, this morning, Water Utilities has confirmed that Padre Island customers are receiving water following a disruption in services Tuesday evening.
The City encourages all water customers to conserve water at this time.
