Three Juveniles Charged After Burglary and Extensive Vandalism at Alice Business

ALICE, TEXAS (News Release) - Three juveniles have been charged following the burglary and vandalism of an Alice business after officers responded to a report of a reckless driver early Friday morning.
According to the Alice Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 6:30 am on July 24, 2026, to the 300 block of West 4th Street following reports of a reckless driver in the area.
While searching for the vehicle, Officer Xavier Zamora noticed suspicious damage at J&L Insulation, located at 316 Kentucky Street. Police said the business's front gate had been damaged, and the front door appeared to have been forced open.
Officer Zamora exited his patrol unit to investigate and was soon joined by Officer Gilbert Guzman. Upon entering the building, the officers discovered extensive damage throughout the property.
Authorities said the office had been completely ransacked. A computer monitor had been destroyed, windows had been shattered, and a damaged toilet caused flooding inside portions of the business. Outside, officers found several company vehicles that had also been vandalized, including work vans with broken windows and significant damage.
Investigators quickly identified and located the individuals believed to be responsible. Three juveniles were taken into custody and charged with three counts of burglary of a building, unauthorized use of a vehicle, evading arrest, engaging in organized criminal activity, and criminal mischief.
Police said two of the juveniles were transported to a juvenile detention facility, while the third remained hospitalized at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital.
During the investigation, officers also recovered several stolen items, including lawn equipment, fire extinguishers, picture frames, and other miscellaneous property.
The Alice Police Department praised Officers Xavier Zamora and Gilbert Guzman for their quick response and investigative work.
"Their professionalism, keen observation, and swift actions led to the successful resolution of this case," the department said in a statement. "Their dedication prevented further damage and helped ensure those responsible were held accountable."
The investigation remains ongoing. Because the suspects are juveniles, their identities have not been released.
