ARANSAS PASS (News Release) - Veterans and volunteers who call the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2932 in Aransas Pass home, are in disbelief after thieves broke into their establishment sometime last month, stealing from this organization that helps so many in the community.

Thieves broke into the historic VFW post and stole their computer equipment, causing an estimated $2,000 to $3,000 in repairs and stolen assets.

The VFW site is a non-profit organization, run strictly on volunteer hours and donations. Some do it for the friendships, some do it to help the community, and others do it because it gives veterans a place to continue the healing process.

Those wanting to help the organization get back on its feet can donate via Post Commander Ray Mares at 361-533-7452 or mail in a check to 620 W. Wheeler Avenue in Aransas Pass.
