BISHOP, TEXAS - (News Release) Officer Charles Green was sworn in earlier in August, during a brief swearing in ceremony at the Bishop Police Department’s main station.

Officer Green will be assigned to the Uniformed Patrol Division for an accelerated field training program, before being assigned to the School Resource Officer (SRO) Unit.

Officer Green has over ten (10) years of prior law enforcement experience and holds an Advanced Peace Officer License through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).

He began his Law Enforcement career in 2011, after graduating from San Antonio College Law Enforcement Training Academy. He has served in various assignments throughout his law enforcment career, including serving as a Reserve Police Officer, Uniformed Patrol Officer and School Resource Officer (SRO).

Officer Green attended the school based law enforcement training (SBLE) program at the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), where he received his Basic SRO certificate in 2018 and his Advanced SRO certification in 2019.

Officer Green says his true passion is serving in School Based Law Enforcement assignments and he looks forward to serving the City of Bishop and the Bishop Consolidated Independent School District, as a School Resource Officer.
