CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On August 21, 2027, at 10:42 pm Corpus Christi Police Officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of IH 37 Access Rd. in reference to a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located one injured female. She was transported to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Several subjects were detained at the scene. Robbery Homicide Detectives were called out to assist. The individuals detained were later transported to the main police station for interviewing. Preliminary investigation showed there was a large fight involving multiple subjects. During the altercation a female victim was stabbed.

Detectives were able to identify the offender and secure a murder warrant. The individual was located on Treyway Ln. and taken into custody without incident. Offender Emilio Ybarra (39) was transported to the main police station for interviewing. He was then taken to the City Detention Center for booking.
