CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - Naval Air Station Corpus Christi recently renovated their Fire and Emergency Service Station. The $2.5M renovation is an upgrade for the facility that was originally built in 1969 with the last renovation in 1982.

The facility, originally scheduled for renovation in 2020, was halted due to Winter Storm Uri when the building received catastrophic damage caused by freezing water pipes that ruptured destroying much of the facility's interior. It was then decided that the renovation be upgraded to replace the entire electrical, HVAC, roof and floors, and to add a gym and a drive-thru stall.

The newly renovated facility provides for a comfortable and modern workspace for firefighters to respond to airfield emergencies for years to come.
