Weather Will Not Impact Regularly Scheduled Garbage, Recycling and Brush Collections

Press Release

CORPUS CHRISTI - The City’s Solid Waste Department advises customers its regularly scheduled garbage, recycling, and brush collection for area 3B will proceed through the severe cold weather forecast period this coming week. However, should road conditions become hazardous due to freezing rain or sleet, collection times may be delayed.

In the meantime, customers should ensure the lids on their garbage and recycling carts are completely closed and that all garbage bags be securely tied to prevent trash from littering neighborhoods. Customers should secure their garbage and recycling carts once Solid Waste crews complete their curbside collection.

The J.C. Elliott Collection Center will remain open on Saturday, February 13 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but is closed on Sundays. It will reopen as usual on Monday, February 15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
