BISHOP, TEXAS (News Release) - On June 22, 2025, at approximately 8:53 PM, Bishop Police Department Night Shift, with the assistance of a Nueces County Constable Precinct 3 Night Shift, responded to a disturbance in progress at the 300 block of W. 3rd Street.
Upon arrival, the male attempted to evade contact by hiding, and once detained, provided officers with false identifying information. Through persistent investigation and interagency coordination, the individual was positively identified as Mario Alvarez Jr., 36, of Bishop, TX, who had an active felony warrant out of Kleberg County.
He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Nueces County Jail.
Charges filed include:
MTR Felony Warrant, Possession of Controlled Substance
Fail to ID Fugitive Intent Give False Info, Tx PC 38.02, Class A Misdemeanor
