Premont PD Arrest Male Subject

PREMONT, TEXAS - (News Release) Premont Police Department Officers observed three male juveniles walking from the front entrance of the abandoned Premont ISD elementary school located on the 100 block of NW 1st.

Officers made contact with the three male juveniles, and they stated they were called by a male subject from inside the building.

Officers went to the abandoned elementary school and observed a male subject inside the building standing by the window. The male subject observed officers approaching and took off running eastbound while in the building.

Officers apprehended the male subject who was later identified as Lucas Soliz. Mr. Soliz was placed under arrest for Burglary of Building and was transported to the JWCSO Adult Detention Center without further incident.

PPD will continue to proactively patrol these abandoned structures and will arrest anyone found inside them, especially if they are attempting to draw children into them.
