Precinct Five Constable’s Office Gives Donation to M.D. Anderson

Nueces County Precinct 5 Constable

NUECES COUNTY - (News Release) Constable Oscar Mendoza Jr. and staff welcomed M.D Anderson’s representative Lauren Thomas this morning. Mrs. Thomas traveled down from M.D Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas to accept a donation that had been planned for back in November 2021.

Due to travel restrictions, this had been postponed.

Constable Oscar Mendoza Jr, “We’re happy that Mrs. Thomas was able to come down today. We all have been or will be affected by cancer in one way or form sometime throughout our lives. We all know someone or have a relative, friend or loved one who has battled or has lost the battle against this awful disease. We pray that this small donation will help further the cancer research and maybe save a life.”

Precinct Five will continue to work with M.D Anderson Cancer Center by promoting awareness during the month of October 2022. The Cancer Awareness department pink patches will once again be made available to the public and Precinct Five Constable Deputies will again wear the pink patches through Cancer Awareness Month.
