Lady Badgers Powerlifting Team Took Several Awards

BISHOP - The Lady Badgers Powerlifting team took several awards at the THSWPA State Meet last week at the American Bank Center.

Samantha Diaz was State Champion in the 123 lb. class. She broke the squat record with a squat of 405. She benched 180 and broke the deadlift record with 370. She also broke the total record for her weight class with a total of 960 lbs.

Larisa Garcia competed in the 97 lb. weight class. She squatted 190, benched 95, and deadlifted 185 for a PR.

Mia Garza won second in the 132 lb. class and had personal record of 370 on squat, 190 on bench, and 340 deadlift.

Brianna Alaniz had personal record on squat of 405 and 320 on deadlift. She benched 140.

The Lady Badgers placed 3rd as a team.
