Overnight Homicide at 5900 Block of Ayers Street

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On Friday, March 14, 2025, at 3:49am, officers were dispatched to the 5900 block of Ayers Street in reference to a shooting.
Officers arrived and located a 19-year-old male victim who was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit are currently conducting their investigation.
It is very early in the investigation and details are limited; however, a 15-year-old juvenile male has been detained as part of the investigation.
Detectives do not believe this to be a random act of violence and there is no threat to the community.
