Officer Involved Shooting at 300 N. Port Ave.

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On September 5, 2026, at 7:21 pm, Officers with the Corpus Christi Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Parr St. in reference to a Disturbance with a Weapon. 

The reporting party advised that a male suspect shot at her dog and then threatened her with a weapon. 

Officers located the suspect in the area of 300 Port Ave and attempted to make contact with the male but he eluded on his bicycle. When additional Officers arrived in the area, the male stopped and produced a handgun. A single Officer fired at the suspect, striking him at least once. The Officers immediately rendered first aid until Medics arrived. 

The male was transported to a local hospital and is currently still receiving care. The male is 44 years old. 

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
