Odem Boy Saves Elderly Couple

ODEM, TEXAS - (News Release) On April of this year, a young boy was preparing for school around 6:30 am in Odem. He started his morning by taking his dog for a walk when he heard a cry for help in the area of Turner St. The cries continued so the young man ran home and alerted his mom. His mom called for help from the apartment maintenance person who found an elderly couple on the floor injured from a fall & unable to get up. EMS was summoned and transported the couple to the hospital. “I was honored to present an award on behalf of the San Patricio Co Sheriff’s Office to Adrian Casarez at Odem Jr High awards banquet Thursday, May 16th, evening. We’re proud of Adrian for taking action to save a life.” Sheriff Oscar Rivera said.
