McAllen Border Patrol Agents Arrest Three Gang Members

EDINBURG (News Release) – McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents arrest several active gang members over the weekend.
On Feb. 5, MCS agents working near Havana, Texas, arrested several subjects, to include a Salvadoran adult male, shortly after illegally entering the United States. During processing, record checks revealed the Salvadoran national is a MS-13 gang member.
On Feb. 6, a group of five illegal migrants attempted to avoid detection and were arrested by MCS agents in Hidalgo, Texas, after entering the United States illegally. At a Border Patrol processing facility, a male Salvadoran national was identified as an MS-13 gang member. The 25-year-old has multiple removals from the United States with his most recent removal in July 2021.
On Monday morning, MCS agents apprehended a group of 21 migrants illegally present in the United States near Penitas, Texas. Record checks identified a female Salvadoran national as a member of the 18th Street gang.
All subjects were processed accordingly.
