Local Deputy's Quick Response Saves a Life

DRISCOLL, TEXAS - (News Release) On Friday 9-20-2024, Deputy Jesus Espinosa, with the Nueces County Constable’s Office-Precinct 3, was dispatched to a residence in Driscoll. When Deputy Espinosa arrived on scene, he found a female subject who was unresponsive. Deputy Espinosa assisted the EMT’s with placing the female subject in the ambulance. Deputy Espinosa rode in the ambulance with the female subject. Within minutes, the female subject’s heart stopped beating. Deputy Espinosa and the attending EMT began administering CPR. Deputy Espinosa immediately started performing chest compressions and did not stop until they arrived at the hospital in Kingsville. The hospital staff took over and within a few minutes the female subject’s heart started to beat on its own.

Because of Deputy Espinosa’s quick thinking, experience and training, a very tragic ending was avoided.
