Lady Badgers' First Season in Class 4A ends with Regional Semifinal Loss

KINGSVILLE - The Bishop Lady Badgers first season in Class 4A came to an end last night and broke their 16-game winning streak, after being defeated by the number 2 ranked Boerne Lady Greyhounds.

The Regional Semifinals Girls basketball game was held last night at Steinke Physical Education Center at Texas A&M-Kingsville.

During the first half of the Friday's Region IV-4A semifinal, both teams were going head-to-head without gaining a lead over each other.

According to the Caller Times, the number 2 ranked Greyhounds scored 32 points in the final two quarters and over took the Badgers by 24 points to capture the 51-19 victory.

The Lady Badgers concluded the season with 35-5.

Boerne will now advance in the Region IV-4A final against Fredericksburg at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 25 back at the Steinke Physical Education Center in Kingsville.
