U.S. Customs and Border Protection

KINGSVILLE - (News Release) On April 28, Kingsville Border Patrol Station agents observed several subjects load into a GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado north of the Javier Vega Jr. Checkpoint. Agents attempted to initiate a vehicle stop on the occupants of both vehicles. Both vehicles failed to yield, and two vehicle pursuits ensued. The driver of the GMC Sierra drove through a perimeter fence and all subjects bailed out. The Chevrolet Silverado was later found abandoned. Agents apprehended two injured Salvadoran nationals determined to be in the U.S. illegally. EMS was requested and the migrants were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The drivers were not located.
