CORPUS CHRISTI - (News Release) Although CCPD has seen a decline in auto-related crimes this calendar year, over 57% of the offenses reported are still victim assisted.

The auto theft task force is asking for your help in combatting auto crime by practicing these safety tips:

1. Always lock your car and take your keys with you.

2. Never leave valuables in your vehicle, especially if they are in plain sight.

3. Your vehicle is not a gun safe. Never leave your weapon unattended in your vehicle.
