Homicide Investigation – Arrest Made
Corpus Christi Police Department
On Monday, July 7, 2025, at approximately 8:05 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Cain Drive in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect fled the scene prior to officers' arrival.
40-year-old Kimberly Rodriguez.
Through the course of the investigation, 40-year-old Kimberly Rodriguez was identified as the suspect. She has been arrested and charged with Murder in connection to the incident.
Rodriguez was taken into custody without incident and is being transported to the Police Department for further questioning.
Robbery Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation.
