CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On Monday July 7, 2025, the Corpus Christi Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division obtained a warrant for indecent assault (Texas PC 22.012, Class A Misdemeanor) for CCPD Officer Steven Moran.  The warrant was obtained in reference to an incident that occurred outside of the workplace.  Moran turned himself into the Comal County Sheriff’s Department on the evening of July 7, 2025.

This is currently an active and open investigation.  The Corpus Christi Police Department takes all allegations of crime and misconduct seriously and investigates them thoroughly in accordance with applicable laws and department policy. 

Moran is currently on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation that may lead to disciplinary action up to and including his termination.
