Grim Reaper Rapist – in Custody

In October 2013, Aransas Pass (AP) Police informed the community about a brutal rape case of a female victim during the early morning hours on North Commercial Street in Rockport, Texas.

At the time, the AP Police department had little to go on but was able to recover DNA evidence from the scene and victim. The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male who was about average height with black hair. He was wearing a white shirt and khaki kickback pants. The suspect was further described as having a grim reaper tattoo on his right chest area along with a linear scar just below his neck. He also spoke with a Spanish accent.

The suspect could not be located after the crime.

Approximately one year later, the suspect had struck again, this time in the Houston area.

Soon after the Houston incident, it was discovered that the suspect had victimize another female in AP a few years after the 2013 case.

Captain Kyle Rhodes of the AP Police department was able to track down the suspect, take him into custody, and get a DNA specimen sent to the crime lab.

The crime lab confirmed the specimen and was able to identify the Adrian Martinez (AKA: Edwardo Pena) age 38 as the suspect.

Martinez was then linked to the two other rape cases in Aransas Pass as well as a trespassing case and another rape in the Houston area.

At this time, it is unknown if he is tied to any other cases.
