Firefighters Stop Spread of Abandoned Building Fire in Corpus Christi

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On October 1, 2025, Corpus Christi firefighters responded to reports of a structure fire in an abandoned building.

Upon arrival, crews found flames showing from multiple openings of the structure. Firefighters launched a coordinated attack, applying water quickly to contain and extinguish the blaze. Thanks to their swift actions, the fire was brought under control without spreading to nearby properties.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
