Detectives with the Falfurrias Police Department, working in coordination with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), initiated the investigation in response to reports of narcotics-related activity at the location.
On April 24, 2026, officers executed a search warrant at the apartment and conducted a related traffic stop. As a result of these enforcement actions, authorities seized approximately two ounces of methamphetamine, assorted drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.
The operation was carried out with assistance from the Freer Police Department and the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office. Officials also recognized Freer Police Department K9 Jax for successfully alerting to and locating the narcotics.
This enforcement effort was supported in part through resources provided under Operation Lone Star, a statewide initiative that assists law enforcement agencies in border and rural communities impacted by narcotics trafficking and organized crime.
