Dumpster Fire at Gas Station

BISHOP, TEXAS - (News Release) On July 2, 2024, at approximately 1:00 PM, Nueces Count Pct. 3 Deputies observed a dumpster fire in the parking lot of the Sunoco gas station located at E. Main and S. Ash in Bishop. Firefighters with Nueces County ESD 3 responded and put the fire out quickly preventing any other property damage. The fire appeared to have been started from a small trailer that was heating tar for roof repair. No other property and no city services were affected. ESD 3 is still investigating the cause
