Drunk Driver Falls Asleep at Restaurant Drive Thru

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - On April 6, 2025, at about 1:39 am Officers were dispatched to a restaurant drive thru at the 6300 block of Saratoga Blvd. in reference to a man down in a vehicle.

When Officers arrived, they located a gold SUV in the drive thru with the driver visibly slumped over. The vehicle was running.

Officers attempted to wake the driver and passenger for several minutes.

Once both driver and passenger were woken up, they were removed from the vehicle and separated.

The driver of the vehicle showed signs of heavy intoxication. He performed a field sobriety test and was ultimately taken into custody.

The passenger showed signs of heavy intoxication and was arrested for public intoxication.

The driver, 36-year-old Alex Flores, was arrested for driving while intoxicated 2nd, and driving while license suspended.

The passenger was identified as 36-year-old Jacqueline Flores.

Both were transported to the city detention center for booking. The vehicle was impounded.
