Dealership Nabs ID Thief in the Act

ARANSAS PASS (News Release) - Around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, three subjects arrived at the Allen Samuels dealership in Aransas Pass. While two subjects remained inside a BMW with paper tags, one subject entered the dealership and presented staff with fake identification seeking financing to purchase a car. After running a credit report, it was found that an Austin man had not authorized Raymond Luna, age 33 to use his identity. Allen Samuel's staff and Aransas Pass Police Department immediately sprang into action to end the criminal episode.

Once officers arrived on location, they confronted Luna, but failed to find the other two subject who was with him. Luna, a convicted felon, also had a stolen firearm and the stolen identifying information on him.
