Arrest Made in Corpus Christi's Latest Homicide

CORPUS CHRISTI (News Release) - On August 25, 2323, at about 8:02 pm, officers were dispatched to the area of the 1200 block of 17th St. in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they located a male victim with a gunshot wound. Medics also arrived and quickly transported the male to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. A short time later the victim succumbed to his injuries.

31-year-old Mercedee Nicole Molina.

Detectives with Robbery Homicide arrived on scene to assist. After speaking with witnesses and checking the area for security cameras, they were able to get suspect and vehicle information.

Officers were able to locate the suspect on the southside of town where she was ultimately taken into custody without incident.

Mercedee Nicole Molina (31YOA) was arrested and charged with Murder. She was transported to the city detention center. This is still on going and active investigation.
