CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (News Release) - The Corpus Christi Fire Department responded with the Nueces County Emergency Service District No. 1 to a reported structure fire yesterday. Fire crews arriving on scene reported heavy fire involvement throughout the structure and implemented a defensive strategy. Hoselines and aerial master streams were deployed to help extinguish the fire.

Embers from the structure fire also ignited a nearby grass fire, which crews quickly contained before it spread. Officials credited strong coordination among all responding units for bringing the incident under control.
