Commercial Vehicle Fire in Bishop

BISHOP, TEXAS (News Release) - Shortly after midnight on Saturday, March 30, 2024, Bishop Police Department (BPD) Shift II Officers and Nueces County Precinct 3 Constable Deputies were dispatched along with Nueces County E.S.D 3 Fire and Rescue, for a Commercial Vehicle Fire on U.S. Highway 77 North at County Road 4, in Bishop, Texas.

Responding units located the 18-wheeler on U.S. Highway 77 Northbound near Sage Road, just past the Nueces County line in Kleberg County, Texas.
Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office, along with Kingsville Fire and Rescue and Kleberg Volunteer Fire Department, also responded to the scene.
BPD units were on the scene assisting with traffic control, while fire personnel work to extinguish the fire.
No injuries are being reported and the exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
